Lentil soup is perfect body warmer especially on a cold grey day.
1- One sliced onion
2- Two table spoons olive oil
3- 2 cups of orange split lentils
You basically start by frying the sliced onion in a saucepan until it is golden in color then you can the lentils and 3 cups of water and let it cook on high heat for 5-7 minutes. When the water starts boiling stir the soup until it is full mixed them lower the heat under it. You can add more water if you feel the texture of the soups is too chunky, keep cooking until the lentil grains are not visible any more. Add salt and spices according to your liking. Adding cumin is recommended to reduce the gas effect on the stomach.
